Your responsibilities

  • Research and analyze markets (i.e products, suppliers) to identify supply options, market trends and competitors
  • Conduct supplier and or product qualification for existing and new suppliers
  • Plan and implement long-term development strategies for categories that improve category performance (including price, lead time, innovation, quality, availability on market etc.)
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure maximum profitability and minimum risk for the company and projects
  • Conduct discussions on contract set up (terms and conditions within project business)
  • Place appropriate purchase orders, manage and track budget
  • Ensure product availability
  • Monitor performance of its category overall and its suppliers
  • Work with a cross-functional team within Engineering, Sales, Tender, Procurement and Projects
  • Ensure achievement of relevant procurement KPI’s

Your experiences

  • Previous working experience as category manager for at least 5 years, ideally within Power, Engineering or Civils industries
  • Advanced and proven negotiation skills
  • Project management knowledge
  • Proven record on sourcing strategy implementation and supplier relationship management
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Solid analytical and critical thinker
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of supply contracts legal terms
  • Good knowledge of SAP, eProcurement & MS-Office solutions
  • Multilingual with professional English (B2 – C1)
