Your responsibilities
- Cooperates actively with the projects’ leadership in the start-up and execution phases.
- Proactively pursue the optimal resolution of contractual issues; negotiates and documents agreements with customers, contractors, business partners and suppliers.
- Primary point for project contract support, and for all commercial aspects, coordinates with legal, insurance, tax and accounting experts as necessary.
- Establish contract summaries and briefings for use by the project execution team; develop commercial execution plan.
- Support project procurement in developing and negotiating project specific orders and purchasing conditions.
- Advise on payment procedures in accordance with the contract and applicable legislation (Client, partners and subcontractors).
- Manages project securities, and insurance claims and recoveries.
- Contractual administration of change under client and consortium partner contracts, preparation of timely commercial notifications, settlement of commercial issues.
- Manage and coordinate commercial claim activities to or from client in alignment with the business. Advise on claims for subcontract packages, in coordination with relevant work package holder and procurement. At all times pursue out of court dispute management and settlement.
- Ensure proper reporting of claims, risks and opportunities. Prepares systematic analyses of data on contract and commercial aspects of projects execution.
- Liaises with project functions (including engineering, finance and controlling, scheduling, quality, EHS, site management) to drive identification and management of project risks and opportunities, and proactively participate in the implementation of risk reduction measures.
- Review budgets and cost to complete together with project team.
- Champions the company’s compliance program and provide support to Compliance in investigations and process improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant industries to contribute to the commercial objectives of the company and differentiate it from competition.

Professional Qualifications
- Assertive, diligent, detail and solution orientated.
- Commercially aware with experience in change management and producing and settling claims.
- Competent negotiator and able to convincingly carry complex arguments.
- Flexible and independent while working within company policies and standards.
- High ability to work in a structured way.
- Project construction site experience of advantage.
- Takes responsibility and actively participates in finding solutions.
- Fluent in English, other languages a plus.
- High quality English drafting of contractual and claim documents.
- Travels and works as and where required by the project.
Professional Qualifications
- Legal or contract management qualified.
- 5 years of experience in construction of industrial plant project delivery.
- Proficient with standard form and bespoke contracts - NEC and FIDIC an advantage.
