Your responsibilities

  • In this role you are a member of the Business Unit Management Team and report to the VP Systems & Service
  • Responsible for managing, inspiring and developing our highly competent engineering team (incl. planning, recruitment and ensuring availability to assigned portfolio of work)
  • Validate and implement engineering subcontracting strategy in accordance with project needs
  • Deliver on time and accurate engineering packages to different projects and manage all technical matters during project execution
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of tools and technical specifications to improve Systems & Service-related engineering processes
  • Provide technical solutions for tenders and maintain feedback of experience from project execution
  • Establish and applied lesson learned culture within engineering disciplines

Your experiences

  • Master’s degree preferably in mechanical, process or chemical engineering
  • Extensive experience in international engineering management and/or extensive experience in leadership of multidisciplinary project engineering teams in Retrofits, LOTS and EPC (preferably waste to energy)
  • Experience of setting up global engineering network and outsourcing engineering work to partners
  • Strong knowledge of engineering methodologies, tools (e.g. E3D, COMOS) and international standards (e.g. EN, ASME, IEC)
  • Knowledge of applied HAZOP, ATEX, SIL and safety in design methodology
  • Strong intercultural skill and availability for managing worldwide interfaces
  • Ability to recognize complex problems and select solutions in a work environment in which not all required information is timely available
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English and preferably French (spoken and written)
