Your responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Customs Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for create the company's global customs compliance program and ensuring compliance with all relevant customs laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement global customs compliance policies and procedures
  • Manage relationships with customs authorities globally
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on customs-related matters, including classification, valuation, and origin determination
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with customs regulations
  • Develop and deliver training programs on customs compliance to employees
  • Monitor changes in customs regulations globally and advise internal teams on necessary updates
  • Participate in industry groups and trade associations to stay up to date on best practices and industry developments
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance, tax and legal, to ensure customs compliance in all aspects of the business.
  • Manage and oversee the work of customs brokers and third-party service providers

Your experiences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in international trade, logistics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in customs compliance, preferably in a global role
  • Deep knowledge of Swiss customs regulations and global customs procedures including customs valuation and Intrastat
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing customs brokers and third-party service providers
  • Ability to travel internationally as required
