Your responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ).  Actively encourages and demonstrates compliance with HSEQ requirements.
  • Maintains implements and identifies improvements of the Health, Safety and
    Environmental Management System.
  • For assigned projects and business activities, is responsible for
  • Assisting sales team in HSE information for tenders and quotations
  • Setting up the project HSE management system, including the development of HSE Management Plans prior to appointment of the Site HSE Team
  • Maintaining HSE legal register
  • Advising Engineering, Commissioning and Site HSE teams on any HSE requirements and providing assistance where required
  • Liaising and advising project support functions (e.g. supply chain) on HSE requirements
  • Performing audits and inspections and creating relevant reports and action plans
  • Carrying out HSE incidents investigations
  • Establishing and managing HSE statistics
  • Providing regular training / information on HSE issues to relevant employees including site teams
  • Assisting in projects assigned to other members of the Central HSE Team as required
  • Undertakes further roles as dictated by the Director of HSE
  • Delivers lessons learned and feedback for current and future projects

Your experiences

  • NEBOSH Safety Diploma / Sicherheitsfachmann/-frau EKAS or equivalent
  • NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent
  •  ISO 14001 Lead Auditor / OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and OHSAS 18001
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and ISO 14001
  • Experience in construction or other related fields
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG
    card or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
  • High ability to work under pressure and demonstrate reliability
  • Social competency, with the ability to manage conflict and demonstrate assertiveness
  • Solution and service orientated
  • Good forward planner
  • Good communicator
  • Ability to present ideas effectively
  • Ability to evaluate ideas of others
  • Good command of English, other languages an advantage
