Your responsibilities

  • Lead of Procurement activities for client tenders and organises the workload within throughout SCM to ensure timely provision of competitive Tender information
  • Manage Tender procurement team
  • Are part of the tendering core team and the contact point for the Sales for all issues related to Supply Chain (shall nominate dedicated persons to each Sales Project
  • Participate proactively to the tendering team and support the team in winning the tender
  • Review, comment and take into account the client specification related to Procurement and Logistic activities
  • Identify commercial/legal/fiscal deviations from the General Terms and Conditions versus the EPC bid
  • Define the Tender Sourcing Strategy (TSS), the Tender Time Schedule (TTS) as well as the Tender Supplier List (TSL)
  • Verify compliance of sourcing concept within project equipment costing and suppliers
  • Define specific strategic procurement points such as on/offshore, country of origin in case of cash in/out, basis for escalation formulas, etc.
  • Estimate the supply chain (SCM) and Inspection Budget for each project and ensure approvals by VP SCM
  • Establish a draft of logistic report for the project identifying best shipping routes and ports, internal transport routes in the project’s country, tax import scheme, etc
  • Manage / propose measures to mitigate the procurement related risks such as hyperinflation, specific supplier risks and related country risks

Your experiences

  • Trained Engineer (master’s in mechanical / chemical / process or similar) with 10+ years’ experience in either technical tendering or costing / cost estimation roles in project driven industry (power, oil & gas, plant engineering etc.); experience in procurement is a big plus
  • You have a strong macro economical understanding of different markets (commodities, raw materials etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills towards suppliers and senior managers combined with an international mindset, collaborative approach, and sense of responsibility
  • Able to make decisions and to work autonomously
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus
