Your responsibilities

• Analyses customer contracts with regard to quality (management) and quality
assurance requirements and identifies issues that require special attention during
processing
• Plans the project-specific quality assurance measures
• Ensures that the planned Q measures are implemented
• Adapts the project specific quality plan
• Establishes and maintains the project-specific quality control program (QC program)
• Reviews and formally approves inspection plans (ITPs) and other manufacturing and
quality related documents
• Coordinates the planned Q measures of the various delivery lots during production
• Project specific QA briefing of internal and external inspectors
• Scheduling of inspectors (INS) according to QC program
• Acting as inspector for selected delivery lots
• Accompanies the customer during customer inspections of suppliers
• Coordinates the Site Quality Manager at the construction site
• Verification of the production-related verification documentation (Q documentation) of
the suppliers for the various delivery lots
• Authority to issue instructions to suppliers in the event of deviations from standards
• Keeping up to date with relevant legal regulations and technical standards
• Contributing to the establishment, maintenance, transfer and further development of
technical know-how within the company
• Frequent travel
• Is aware of, implements and complies with HSE requirements relevant to the role

Your experiences

  • Relevant professional experience in plant construction or in one of the sub-areas of boiler, steel, apparatus, pipeline construction
  • Project experience: some knowledge and application of project management tools desirable
  • Organizational talent and networked thinking
  • Good market and product knowledge
  • Experience in using standardized methods to identify complex problems
  • Detailed knowledge of the technical functionality and integration of the installed machine components such as pumps, blowers, tanks, safety valves
  • Experience in dealing with the relevant harmonized standards, especially DIN EN 12952 and DIN EN 13480
  • Knowledge of ASME Sections I, V and IX desirable
  • Willingness to work in the field, at the office and during business trips abroad
  • Experience in the manufacture and assembly of welded constructions: welding engineer / welding specialist desirable
  • Experience in the relevant NDT procedures RT, MT, PT, VT and/or Level II or III certification in the procedures desirable
  • Methodological expertise:
    • Good MS Office skills (Excel)
    • Very good knowledge of English, German would be an advantage
    • Self-leadership and work methodology, ability to perform his task independently with the help of guidelines, rules and regulations
    • Problem solving methodology, can identify and execute the most feasible route in each case based on experience
    • Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques with appropriately recognized training (e.g. EN 473)
    • Knowledge of the relevant directives and standards to be considered in plant construction (pressure parts is an advantage), that means experience in dealing with the relevant EU directives / regulations,
    • especially PED 2014/68/EU and MRL 2006/42/EC
    • Knowledge and experience in the use of common project management systems and tools
