Your responsibilities

  • Manage both the financial and management aspects for our UK subsidiary, ensuring the delivery and smooth running processes of the day-to-day finance and controlling function
  • Work with line management to drive efficiently and profitability from the contracts
  • Use a number of different metrics to track performance against cost, performance and budgets
  • Prepare and present reports on the commercial performance for review meetings
  • Preparation of UK accounts, both financial and management including controlling accounting aspects such as budgeting and forecasting
  • Subsidiary level contract accounting and reporting
  • Preparation of the statutory accounts for the UK subsidiary in accordance with IFRS
  • Preparation of the statutory accounts for all subsidiaries in compliance with FRS 102
  • Provision of information to auditors as required
  • Review of accounting at a legal entity level on a quarterly basis
  • Ownership of entity accounts for UK entity
  • Oversee the transactional accounting of the UK entity
  • Month end close process and detailed review of results
  • Finance manual ownership and consideration of impact of new accounting standards
  • Undertake other ad hoc tasks and financial project work working closely with the senior management team, Head of Accounting and Head of Controlling at Group level

Your experiences

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
  • Thorough working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards as well as Corporate Governance principles
  • Experience in preparation of accounts
  • Detailed knowledge of finance systems (SAP knowledge an advantage)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good understanding of Management Accounts and Sub-ledgers
  • 5 plus years experience
  • Ambitious and driven, excited to progress career
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable in delivering complex information to non-finance personnel and senior managers
