Sourcing Manager for Asian Market

Your responsibilities

  • Introduce improvement suggestions for future projectsMarket research to identify core industry vs. countries, suppliers’ profile and dominant competence
  • Analyse industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
  • Develop and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking
  • Evaluate risks and apply risks minimizing techniques to select and develop suppliers
  • Identify, visit, audit and qualify suppliers adequately selected for company needs
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
  • Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives
  • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization
  • Report to the Head of Sourcing and Category Management
  • Contribute to build Sourcing KPIs and comply with them
  • Strengthen cooperation with category manager to address sourcing strategy needs
  • Comply with any tasks as agreed with the Head of Sourcing and Category manager
  • Willing to travel up to 50% or willing to relocate in HZI Branches (Bangkok or any South East Asia countries)

Your experiences

  • Master’s degree and proven work experience (5+ years) as a sourcing manager or strategic procurement manager preferably in Global market
  • Familiar with sourcing, vendor management, BCC development
  • Understand market dynamics and sound business judgement
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
  • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and relevant software
  • Knowledge of Power Industry or similar categories
  • Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts
  • Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent in English. Any additional languages as an asset
