Supplier Quality Manager

Your responsibilities

- Monitors the progress of assigned systems (desk and field expediting)
- Manages the project-specific quality control program (QC program)
- Plans, monitors and leads expediting & quality inspections at suppliers’ premises
- Instructs inspectors regarding supplier monitoring activities
- Contacts suppliers to ensure that all systems are on track and that deliveries will  be shipped on time and in quality
- Issues instructions to suppliers in the event of deviations from standard
- Resolves or escalates all expediting & quality issues
- Keeps up to date with the relevant legal regulations and technical standards
- Shapes his sphere of influence based on skills and experience
- Assists and coaches project team members
- Drives effectiveness and efficiency of operational tasks
- Participates in developing & improving related procedures & process improvements
- Communicates effectively with SU-/Department Heads related to supplier monitoring activities
- Supports the department in achieving objectives
- All other duties as reasonably requested

Your experiences

  • Graduate (FH / TH / Uni), technical degree (with further education in the commercial sector)
  • Experience in international plant projects
  • Welding specialist or welding engineer (e.g. IWE/EWE)
  • Very good understanding of expediting, logistics and QC processes applicable to supply markets
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques owning recognised training certificates (e.g. EN 473, EN ISO 9712, level II)
  • Knowledge of the relevant directives and standards to be considered in plant construction
  • Interdisciplinary project management experience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experienced in use of sophisticated methods in order to identify complex problems and ensures implementation of suitable solutions
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office (Excel incl. Pivot, Powerpoint)
  • Multilingual with professional English (min. B2)
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
